About Sheena

IMG_3703.jpg

Hello, my name is Sheena Farhang. I am the founder and manager of Metanoia Alliance Therapy, LLC. As a Licensed Professional Counselor I provide psychotherapy to both adolescents and adults.

My career in behavioral health began in 2016 facilitating groups for women who have experienced trauma within a community setting. My work experience has allowed me to interact within the scope of several settings (community, inpatient, juvenile detention, and residential). This has enabled me to work with a diverse population of individuals including adolescents, adults, and families.

Metanoia means the journey of changing one’s mind, heart, self, or way of life. Alliance means a relationship among people joined together for a common purpose. Together, Metanoia Alliance represents my desire to help individuals in their pursuit to make meaningful, sustainable changes in their lives. My life’s journey has uniquely prepared me, I believe, to be an asset to my community in this way.

There are several aspects of my life’s journey that attributed to who I am today. One specific attribute I have been able to develop is the ability to be non-judgmental within the conversations I have, and relationships I form. This is a natural result of being able to interact with people from different cultural backgrounds throughout my life. As an individual who is proud of their own heritage, it has ingrained a value to be respectful of others and the unique path one’s life undoubtedly can take.

When I am not at work, I invest in my own self-care through my love for fitness and spending time with my friends and family. As a proud graduate of the University of Arizona, I also look for ways to invest in the place I live and the school I love.
